DISCO SUCKS

This

sequin dress

is probably the most out-there piece I have in my wardrobe, and I'm not one to shy away from OTT things. Flamboyant patterns and bright coloured clothes are a heavy theme with me, but now it's time sequins made their way into my life. This number is a total disco dream, even being a firm believer that disco

does in fact suck

, I'll still be boogieing in this insane

The Ragged Priest

dress on Saturday night - with no Bee Gee's records in sight. It's the perfect party dress and I'll be milking it every weekend I have plans taking place in a bar surrounding.

I decided to make it less disco and more 90's pop by taking inspiration from The Spice Girls, because I know both Baby and Scary Spice would've worn this on stage. Keeping in theme I teamed it with the chunkiest pair of boots I own, looking back I should of took it that extra mile and sported some space buns...

I'm all kinds of in love with this dress, it's perfect for the upcoming festival season, general party occasions, OR day-to-day if you're really gonna go for it. That's one thing I love about The

Ragged Priest

, they make unique clothing for the bad-ass babes of the world who have a complete '

I don't give a fuck

' attitude about their style. So you wanna wear a sequin dress on hump day?

Go for it!

Want to tell the world how you're feeling with a naughty slogan tee?

Don't blame you!

Their new collection is something else, featuring pieces from the

classic striped tee

(with that cheeky slogan), to

leather motocross pants

. To me, they are one of the coolest brands going and always pull some seriously incredible pieces out of the bag.

My current favourites from their SS18 collection have to be the pieces featuring the python print. I'm a total sucker for animal print of any kind, so seeing that they've branched out into this for their new season product has my eyes turned to hearts. I'm also mad about the hints of yellow running through the entire collection, with their

mustard leather jacket

taking pride of place, and a pair of mega

yellow pants

to follow. The use of denim is strong in this collection too, taking boxy silhouettes and manly structures to create cool shirt dresses and over sized pants.

As I'm yet to get my hands on any of the new season drops, I wanted to share this sparkly number with you instead. I got this a while back, but hadn't had the time to shoot it. Now I've waited so long it's gone into the sale, so you can bag

this

for yourself at half the price over on The Ragged Priest. Go on,

unleash your inner Spice Girl!

ALMOST FAMOUS

Wearing rainbow stripes is a serious trend right now, and while I've always been into striped clothing, only in the recent years have I expressed my brighter side in the way that I dress. I always say that I only ever wore black, light black and sometimes grey (a very dark shade of grey might I add) and it's true, you'd never of seen me wearing an outfit this bright six years ago -

although

you'd definitely of seen me in these Dr Martens

. But, six years ago I was a different person who only ever cared about the grunge phase I was in, now I'm older and into the idea of actually wearing these colours. I've got to say that wearing an entire look made up of only the deepest shade of black doesn't quite thrill me the way it used to.

I've seen numerous versions of rainbow tops, but this one stood out for me the most. Maybe it's the '

Almost Famous

' text on the front that swung me? Is it a reference to iconic 00's film of that name, or is it a dig at the people who think they are something they're not? It's an up-in-the-air debate right now and either way I love it.

The Ragged Priest

always pull through on unique pieces like this, pieces that no other brand is making, by creating items that are original and totally un-seen before. It's a brand I always look out for and have enjoyed for years. They really fit in to the '

cool, edgy girl on instagram

' vibe that is everywhere at the moment, and not a look I turn my nose up at (

because I wish I was that cool girl on Instagram

). Pairing it with my knee length

Dr Martens

was a good choice, wearing it with no tights in January was not. The sun setting just in time for taking these photographs makes it look far warmer than it was, and wearing these sunglasses helped a lot too. The trick is to think you're somewhere sunny and the goosebumps will eventually disappear, and it's totally worth the freezing cold temperature when you've got some killer garms to shoot in!
