FIELD DAY

I know, it's really hard to refrain from making a joke about Theresa May right now, but please do try like I did... I wanted to try something a little different for today's outfit post, so instead of using a quiet and 'edgy' street as my back drop, I went searching for the ideal field instead. I now live in the country, so luckily I'm surrounded by dozens of pretty fields and forests which are great for experimenting with new locations! So with that, me and Harry went on a bike ride and found this hidden gem, which just so happened to be a perfect field to frolic around in to take some summery shots.

I wanted to get a little girly for this shoot and take my dreamy Topshop dress for a spin. I adore this piece and it's made me want to grow my dress collection. I don't own many, not like I used to. There was a time when I'd always wear cute dresses, but I've become more of a tomboy since then, sticking to my roots and ditching ditsy florals for spray on skinnies. But I've realised now that just because I'm not the biggest of 'girlie girls' it doesn't mean I can't ever wear floaty or frilly pieces! It's easy to make it feel more comfortable, like choosing a pair of chucks over sandals and throwing on a leather jacket rather than a tailored blazer. It's the little things that it make less daunting and help suit your personal style more.

Since I've found a place in my heart for this pretty dress, I've been eyeing others up constantly. Florals are obviously groundbreaking for summer, so every high street store and brand are tossing them out like there is no tomorrow. Of course, Topshop are slaying with their summer collection, making dresses their go-to piece to wear. They've got everything from cute minis like this one, to floor length maxis with an array of quirky colours and patterns, florals obviously stealing the show.

I've been buying a couple of new items here and there in an attempt to mix up my wardrobe and find some classic pieces I can always keep, instead of buying things that are purely a trend - it is just a phase! I think we get stuck on the trend band waggon and end up buying throw away clothes that go out of style within a few months. So, although I've been spending some money recently, it's not on things I'll be hating this time next year. The most recent item being my latest and greatest purchase... My wannabe Lovers and Drifters cardigan, without the Lovers and Drifters price tag! It was only the other day that I tweeted about theirs going into sale, but still being far too pricey for my little bank balance to manage. The fashion gods were clearly looking down on me and helped me score this one from the Bershka sale instead. I would love to treat myself to an original, but for now I'm buzzed about this one! This is a jacket I've wanted forever, so I know I'll be keeping it in my wardrobe as an an essential for years to come, giving it doesn't fall apart by then. I can't wait to prance around in this fluffy delight all through summer and winter, I'm in love!

A LETTER TO THE BABES OF ASOS

Dear all you fashionistas that work at the ASOS HQ, how do you do it?! How do you all look so perfectly cool and effortless every single day? Please, teach me your ways! I've been slowly stumbling upon every single ASOS styists' Instagram, granted, there are dozens! But, I've found a fair few and nearly every one has given me heaps of inspiration. Being an ASOS stylist would be a dream, one of my personal dreams in fact. Styling up their pieces and snapping it for a living sounds like my idea of a good time. I hear it's very hard and competitive to land a job with such a brand, so that's just another reason I have serious envy for these guys and gals over at the HQ!

The three mega babes that I find myself scrolling through up to four times a day - guilty - include Olivia Smith (@asos_olive), Felicity Hayward (@asos_felicity) and Sara Thomas (@asos_saralouise). All three have completely different styles but each hold a part of mine, so I adore them all. The chick I'm focusing on today though is Olivia Smith. Urban, chic and fucking cool...

I've seen Olivia frolicking around with pants similar to these over on her Instagram, both work and personal (@oliviafayesmith). It's clear these are serious 'it-girl' trousers, all they need are the Kappa logo gracing the sides of them or a large Adidas label on the front to be that extra bit cool. I can't pull off sportswear as well as others, I'm too conscious of the fact I can't wear an ounce of leather if I do, so I tend to leave that to the experts. I'd like to give it a whirl and experiment though, this outfit alone is a step out of my usual style so I'm not doing too bad already.

Since buying these trousers from Primark I've had a crazy amount of compliments which has warmed my heart and made me realise how boring jeans can be. I'm bored of wearing black skinny jeans every day of my life - so here's to me experimenting! Go me! I've also been told these wannabe Converse are pretty cool to, probably too cool for me to be wearing. I'm kidding, it's important to embrace what we wear and even if we don't know if we can pull it off, go for it anyway. If you like it, wear it - my favourite motto.

BODY - ASOS | TROUSERS - PRIMARK | CHUCKS - PULL & BEAR | JACKET - ZARA | GLASSES - ASOS | JEWELLERY - BLOODY MARY METAL & DEPOP

As this OOTD is ASOS inspired, I thought I'd share some similar pieces with you that can be found on their website. Firstly, the killer trousers that are all over their website. My top pick are these Cheap Monday pair that are without the white stripe and more expensive, but absolutely stunning. They also have some coloured versions like pink and blue which are extremely tempting. As for my shoes, you can get the official Converse pair but good luck finding them, and for a decent price at that. If you have no luck, check out all the flamed pieces online. These Jeffrey Campbell sneakers are an expensive dream but totally worth the money and have even more flames to swoon over.

It's fun to experiment like I have with today's outfit, especially if you've got a wide and eclectic array of styles like myself. Although this outfit is different for me, It's still got an element of grunge with the chucks and leather jacket. If I stick to my usual clobber too much I find myself in a complete rut, so I've started being braver with my outfits and it's done me the world of good mixing things up. As cheese as it is to say, I feel free, I feel like I can wear anything and the care I have about it is extremely minimal. So a personal thank you is in order to the inspiring babes who don't give a single crap about what others think. Thank you, you rule!

FAUX SIMONE

After being blown away by the sheer amount of street-style snaps and insider footage from London Fashion Week, I'm left feeling inspired as I always am after such an event. Designers, models and bloggers are sure to make such a whirlwind of creative energy that just so happens to float my way after every season. This time round I'm pointing the finger at Charlotte Simone - the queen of fur who has given me all the feels with her latest collection. Now, just to clarify, I 100% do not condone fur whether it's 'ethically sourced' or not, but Simone let's you have the option of real or fake (I know, there shouldn't even be an option) which is perfect for those of us who care about such a thing. Her range of Popsicles and Sass Caps have been seen on the likes of Alexa Chung and Gemma Styles, but not me as of yet. Thankfully though, I found this dreamy bundle of fluff in my housemates closet making this my fake and free version of my dream Charlotte Simone scarf.

Top - Zara
Skirt - Topshop
Boots - Primark
Jacket - Zara (similar)
Scarf - Vintage
Tights - Primark
Jewelry - Bloody Mary Metal and vintage

I decided to mix things up and get super colour co-ordinated with this outfit, matching my scarf to my skirt and my skirt to my shirt... I've gone for my new Stones tee from Zara's recent Zara x The Rolling Stones collection which celebrates their new jazz album, Blue and Lonesome (which BTW is utterly flawless). I doubled up on my leather wearing a basic jacket but an out-there skirt. If you've been searching for the perfect leather pieces for your wardrobe then head to Topshop who are killing it in that department at the moment. The one I'm wearing comes in several different colours including metallic silver and baby pink, both of which are on my wish list. These skirts go with so much I own making them super easy to throw on and style.

Keeping with the OTT theme, I've picked out my new shiny Primark boots and taken them for a spin. I'm finding myself tip-toeing around the streets trying not to scuff or dirty them because of how clean they are. They'll soon be ruined like my old Topshop pair though, as they make for the perfect shoe that match most of my outfits for day time or evening events. You'll probably be sick of the sight of them soon, much like my old ones... Sorry!

PLAYING WITH ACCESSORIES | 7.7.16

Wearing a mundane outfit and adding ridiculous accessories makes getting dressed in the morning easy, but also a lot of fun. You don't have to think hard about if something matches, you can just stick to a plain pair of jeans and a basic t-shirt and let the accessories do the talking. For me, it's all about the sunglasses, which easily make summer one of my favourite seasons. Who doesn't like wearing a pair of shades to cover the lack of sleep from the night before? Not only do they hide a multitude of sins but they also look cool as heck. I have an impressive collection which grows every summer. It ranges from the classic perfectly-round John Lennon specs to a simple RayBan Wayfarer knock-off, but these ones are quite possibly my most outrageous pair yet...

T-shirt - H&M
Jeans - Tosphop 'Hayden' jean
Belt - Primark
Jacket (un-customized) - Primark
Sunglasses - Vintage
Badges - Topshop
The Rolling Stones pin - The Rolling Stones 'Exhibitionism'
Large The Rolling Stones badge - Vintage
'K' necklace - Topshop (similar)
Star necklace - Pull & Bear
Rings - Vintage & Bloody Mary Metal

I think, talk and embrace 70's styling on the regular, which is why these sunglasses are ruling my life at the moment. They can make some people look like a sleazy director of a dirty movie, but they're also a pair that would make Hunter S. Thompson proud.

As my outfit is a boring pair of jeans three sizes too big and a plain white t-shirt, I thought it was about time I re-worked one of my many leather jackets to make my lazy outfits cooler. I've been searching for pins online for some time, but found that the best ones ship from America - just like everything else I want in life. I did manage to find some quirky ones from Topshop which fill my badge shaped hole rather nicely though. I mean come on, how cute is the little tooth smiling away on my lapel? I couldn't say no to that! I have, of course, added the pin I bought from The Rolling Stones exhibition we went to in London a few weeks ago, which I've been meaning to find a place for ever since. Along with another one I found at a local vintage stall in St Nicholas' Market here in Bristol.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with a basic outfit, but making it a little more exciting with the help of a few daring accessories makes you feel like you made more of an effort, and like the 'three sizes too big' jeans were part of the eccentric look, in my case anyway.

STARRY EYED IN CALVIN KLEIN | 26.4.16

Mr Klein has made quite the come back in recent months what with stores like Urban Outfitters and Topshop selling his brand like it's their own. We sell Calvin Klein underwear sets by the plenty and I get it, it's cute and completely classic. I would love to spend £40 on some fabric to cover my modesty but I'm just not that kind of girl, I would accept it as a gift though.

Sweater - Calvin Klein @ Topshop, shirt - Asos, jeans - Primark, trainers - Topshop, sunglasses - Matalan.

Until I'm feeling naughty and want to spend my weekly food budget on panties, I'll take this sweater (which is retailing at £90 now when I got mine for £45 back when it wasn't as cool to own it) I scored at Christmas with a gift card instead. It's great to layer over other pieces, in this instance I've finally got round to showing off this star printed colourful number which forever reminds me of my gal Megan Ellaby as she rocked the hell out of it last season. I'm about 5 months late to the club but a patterned shirt will never go out of style to me.

As if the stars on my shirt weren't an overkill I had to add more with these super tacky trainers. They're my wannabe YSL sneakers that I've been dreaming of for so long it pains me. YSL, you will always hurt my feelings and one day my bank balance will split in two just like my broken heart. Anyone care to fix it? If so I'll take the real thing pronto!

RED ALERT | 26.2.16

You couldn't tell from this outfit but I don't actually like the colour red, it's probably my least favourite colour which is why I'm always going to and from this jacket. I've had it for years now and the idea of a bad ass red leather jacket has always made my heart sing but sometimes I look at it hanging on my rail and think, 'is that seriously ugly or can I pull this off?'. Most of the time I don't care if I can pull something off or not but this isn't the most subtle jacket in existence so it does take some balls to don it and as if the colour wasn't enough the studs and cropped length add to the ballsiness even more to make it a seriously out there piece.

Top - American Apparel, denim waistcoat - vintage, jacket - Forever 21 (similar), jeans - Topshop, boots - Ted & Muffy, sunglasses - Primark (mens)

At the moment I'm on the love end of the spectrum and have all sorts of strong feelings for the jacket. I'm thinking it's because it goes so well with a standard Breton t-shirt or this red, white and blue number from American Apparel as well as my dozens of Stones shirts. It also makes a change from my every day black leather which I'm trying to wean myself off of as I'm starting to think my outfits are getting a bit standard and lazy. What says non-standard more than a crimson red jacket and boots to match? Go hard or go home! In this instance I probably went too hard and should of left the booties at home because boy, that is a lot of red especially for someone who hates that colour. Great, am I now back to hating it? I just can't make my mind up.

KEITH FOREVER | 22.12.15

How Keith is this shirt and hat combo? I Literally pinned an image of him wearing a very similar shirt about 30 minutes ago. Keith is my style hero always and forever but that's common knowledge by now. I found this slinky silk shirt in a charity store and it had mine and Keith's name written all over it.

Shirt - vintage, coat - Primark (old), jeans - Topshop, boots - Newlook, hat - eBay, rings - Topman.

I forgot how much I adore the colour purple and although there is something about it that reminds me of Chuck Bass (if you have never seen Gossip Girl then forget this sentence ever existed), it's a beautifully royal colour that should be seen way more often, especially in the form of a silk shirt.

I pulled one of my old wool jackets out of my closet for this outfit which came with free added dog hair, apparently. I'm always into colour clashing and mixing two rather royal colours together could not have worked better, it's also not that far from my usual dark colour palette so every ones a winner. Mr Chuck eat your heart out!

FYI this hat will not be coming off of my head for a while, sorry.

A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS | 19.10.15

No, this isn't a favourites post it's just an outfit that I'm loving from head-to-toe! I'm so feeling the neck scarf trend at the moment, not that it needed to become a trend for me to enjoy it. I've always been a wearer of scarves, I often wear one tied loosely round instead of tight like this but either way I'm all for it. I do remember my friend Ash telling me I looked like I was in a cult though, I guess wearing a Dre shirt doesn't help now either. I am forever expanding my bandanna collection at the risk of looking like a gang member.

Tee - Depop (similar), jeans - Primark, leather jacket - Primark, boots - Vintage, neck scarf - Claire's Accessories, sunglasses - Topshop.

Another current love of mine are these boots which were an amazing second-hand find, how old fashioned (in a good way) are these? They were at the ridiculous price of £3 too, absolute steal! They look rad with a pair of tight black jeans and remind me of the 'sock' boots I've seen around recently. No idea what I'm on about? Check out these shoes from Topshop to see what on earth I'm referring too. Cool right? Totally laid-back and comfy! These ones are a little special with the added patient leather grid detailing covering the outside which adds quite a quirky touch and makes them even more old-school and have you seen that heel? Totally something grandma Carpenter would don.

It obviously goes without saying that black jeans and leather jackets are two of my favourite things also.

PS. It wasn't intentional for me to have one pant leg rolled up and the other down, that's not some kind of look I rock on a daily basis, I was experimenting and completely forgot about it which is hilarious but so annoying. If you didn't notice then I'm an idiot for pointing it out but just in case you did and are sat thinking WTF then there you have it, I'm just that forgetful.

FAIRIES WEAR BOOTS | 21.9.15

I've seen so much 90's goodness going around at the moment with all the LFW madness surfacing, the Le Kilt show being my favorite so far but maybe I'll do a little round up from my couch in the next week or so because I'm not cool enough to witness it fully by going to the shows and actually photographing them myself, embarrassingly. I am heading to a cheeky little day next Friday though with my pal Kristina from Creepers and Cupcakes so I will be cool for 9 short hours I guess...

Top - eBay, skirt - Primark, jacket - thrifted, boots - Dr Martens, socks - Topman, sunglasses - my mothers

I've been wanting to wear this mad vinyl skirt for years, quite literally! I've had it hidden away in my draw and I completely forgot about it until recently when my shiny leather needs needed to be filled. I purchased it so long ago at Primark for a measly pound in the clearance section and like I said, haven't gotten any use out of it until now. I wanted something different to wear with my band t-shirts instead of my usual spray-on skinnies and saw the patient orange shining in the corner when I had my revelation, this will be worn and will look bad-ass! It's a pretty out there piece so I plan on wearing it completely casual for the most part, unless I'm feeling particularly darish of course.

Remember just then when I said I was loving the 90's thing going on at the moment? Well I brought some of that to this OOTD with my over-sized denim jacket and Dr Marten boots with visible sports socks for added Le Kilt vibes.

PAISLEY PATTERNED DREAM COAT | 14.9.15

I think we can all agree that you need this dreamy ass coat in your life because it's made mine a whole lot better. It's no shock that I'd go for the most eccentric patterned piece of clothing on the Blue Vanilla website because we all know my love for anything slightly mad and this jacket - kimono type thing definitely tops my fruit cake. I freaking love it! Paisley is one of my all time favorite patterns and the colour pallet that goes with this one is beautiful, very autumnal too might I say. I know, the dreaded winter vocab will be spilling out of all of our mouths sooner rather than later but you know, this jacket is perfect for that season.

Top - Forever 21, shorts - M&S, kimono - Blue Vanilla, boots - Newlook (similar) belt - Primark (similar)

It's so whimsical and retro but what I really love about this jacket/kimono contraption - let's just call it a kimono - is that it's so versatile, I can wear it so many ways. I can loose the belt and have it as a slouchy overcoat or if I was feeling extra fancy I could cinch it in even more and wear it as a coat dress which is very on trend right now. I think it would look unreal in the evening with a pair of black heels and a smart clutch along with a tight pony tail and golden accessories.

I especially want to wear it to a Fleetwood Mac concert where I can join in with Lindsey Buckingham and the gang and float about in the crowd while my ears fill with the joyous sounds of their voices - dreamy!

LOVE RIDE | 10.9.15

I finally, finally got myself a Harley Davidson tee and it's an amazing one at that. You'll learn to know that I do have a motor bike obsession, much like I do with pattern shirts and ankle boots, I'm obsessed! This stems from my father being obsessed himself, thanks Dad for sharing the love and passing that one down. As much as I want a classic Harley top with the logo on I couldn't help but go for this one instead as it's super subtle but still so rad. It's a one of a kind piece that I'll wear over and over again and treasure forever. I found it hidden away in the dark corners of eBay along with a couple of other items, just wait until you see what other bits I've picked up second hand because I think you'll be mighty jealous my friends.

Top - eBay, jeans - Primark, boots - Shellys London, hat - Forever 21, belt - Primark, bag - Primark, jewelry - vintage & Bloody Mary Metal

There's a fair bit of newness to this outfit including my hat which I purchased at Forever 21 - my favorite place! I love Forever 21, especially when they come out with great pieces like this. Whenever I want anything new I head straight to there and check out what they've got to offer first and they always deliver. Hello, this hat is proof enough!?

As for my boots, oh boy do these boots make my heart flutter. How can they not when they're covered in blue glitter and buckles AND zips? Amazing!

AUGUST HAUL | 6.9.15

I've just uploaded my monthly haul! It's not the most exciting collection of items I've ever hauled but there you go. I've been a little quiet on the blogging front this week due to me not feeling too well, as you can tell from this video I have a stinking cold and because I'm pathetic I've been moping about in my PJ's on my sofa for the past few days - tragic. I have got a new outfit posting coming tomorrow though so I'll be back to my usual self soon!

Anyway, enjoy the haul and apologize again it's a little basic. Subscribe if you enjoyed and anything you need to know will be in the down-bar below!

INSPIRATION FROM LAURENT

2ND JULY 2015
OUTFITS
LISTENING TOO: ROCK ME AMADEUS - FALCO

Shirt - Primark, jeans - Primark, jacket - Primark, shoes - Vans Classics, sunglasses - Matalan, bandana - Claires Accessories.

I've taken a leaf out of the YSL book of incredible fashion and channeled some serious boyish vibes. If you saw last weeks post featuring the Yves Saint Laurent S/S 2016 collection that I was in a constant drool over then you'd see where the inspiration came from. To be honest though, my style is already so inspired by menswear and masculine cuts that I mostly just threw together what I already owned and made one head-to-toe tom-boy outfit that I felt right at home in. 80% of the time I am a bit of a tom-boy, the other day I went to the shop with the baggiest pair of pants on, slip on vans and a t-shirt made for a XXL male, but it felt great and I loved every minute of it. I do feel like i'm wearing more of the boy's clothes than he is and I'm not even sorry about it!

This OOTD is very menswear inspired and I just so happen to actually be wearing menswear as this shirt was too funky not to join my ever growing collection, no shock there. The YSL collection is full of quirky patterned shirts which are quite obviously one of my favourite things as well as lots of leather and denim, I know it was like it was made for me. If you haven't checked it out yet do, seriously, I'm still scrolling through the photos now!

Before I leave you to your joyous Monday night I feel I should address my new 'strawberry blonde' locks, they're a work in progress and were supposed to turn out 'Bronde'. Totally awkward home dying situation where I'm inexperienced, cack-handed and just generally have no idea what I'm doing. I'm embracing it though and using quite a lot of silver shampoo to help me through this difficult time. Hopefully it'll look a little less brassy soon, pray for me.

DIY (AND DOUBLE, OBVIOUSLY) DENIM

27TH JULY 2015
OUTFITS
LISTENING TOO: PINK FLOYD - WAITING FOR THE WORMS ♫
Top - Forever 21, jeans - Primark, jacket - Depop, shoes - Duo, hat - Primark, socks - Primark, watch - Topshop, ring - Topman.

Remember last week when I talked all about my new obsession with DIY denim? Well here's the first installment of that phase, and boy is it a good phase indeed because this jacket is pretty rad, is it not? Pink Floyd? Obviously! I also mentioned in that post about a few finds I found on Depop, this being one of them. I scroll through on a daily basis on the attempt to find some one-off pieces, especially in the music area as my top key words on Depop seem to be 'band tees' and 'ZZ Top' - I'm trying to find a tee similar to Kate's ZZ Top shirt which she found through Depop, it needs to join my collection pronto! I'm so damn jealous.

Nevertheless I've still found a couple of gems myself including this rad denim jacket with the coolest Pink Floyd patch sewn on the back, it was all of £9 too so double win on this one! Denim is very 90's and as it's me I had to throw on a pair of the same toned denim pants, so predictable Chloe, so damn predictable. I'm such a 90's cliche but I'm head over heels for anything of that era at the moment that anything else is just going straight past me. Don't get me wrong though I still love the 60's and 70's thing but right now my true 90's kid is coming out, it's also kind of the way my dad dressed back then too but let's skip right past that...

If you're on the hunt for some customized denim then you should take to Depop, I know a lot of people have issues with it but I'm yet to find one. I've found some great stuff in among some of the not so great over priced bits and I've been happy with all of it - so far. I'm currently selling some of my old clothes over on eBay but may convert to Depop myself so if you give my page a follow then you may see some old and loved items of my own floating around on there soon!

DON'T DO DOUBLE DENIM

29TH MAY 2015
OUTFITS
LISTENING TOO: DAVID BOWIE - CHANGES ♫

Shirt - Cheap Monday, jeans - BDG, shoes - Primark, belt - Primark, sunglasses - Newlook, bra - Intimissimi, belt - Primark, earrings - Forever 21, jewelry - Topshop & Bloody Mary Metal.

So let's get this straight, double denim is a love or hate trend and for me it's a 100% yes please! I've mentioned before about my love for the double D (that sounded a little naughty) look and I'm going to talk about it in more depth because it grinds my gears way more than it probably should, not double denim itself but something that tends to come along with it...

A week ago during an #fbloggers chat on Twitter there were major talks about 'fashion rules' and how people live by certain ones, which for starters made me a little sad. People were saying about how they would never wear this and never wear that and I sat there thinking, ok, fair play you're not currently into that trend but I said the same thing about sandals and look whats on my feet people, sandals! I know it's easy to say you'd never wear something but just hold on ladies and gents, people change. Living by certain rules isn't the way to go and you shouldn't hold yourself back when you may think 'oh, she looks great in those socks and trainers but I said I'd never wear that so I can't'... No, wear what you want and don't let a decision you made previously determine that.

On said Twitter chat a lot of people responded to the question 'do you have any fashion rules?' with a flurry of 'I WOULD NEVER WEAR DOUBLE DENIM!!'. I sat there in my denim shirt and pants feeling proud of myself for wearing something a majority of people somewhat despised. One girl even said 'people who wear double denim have no fashion sense, I would never be caught dead in it'. I understand people not being into a certain item of clothing or a current fashion trend, I get that, I for one don't like Ugg boots but that girl walking down the street wearing a pair can carry on, it's her choice and she can do what the hell she likes because after all, isn't that the joy of fashion? Again, tattoo chokers, not for me but some people like Amy Valentine and Zoe London look smoking even when wearing one so that doesn't mean I instantly think they have no sense of style! Fashion has no rules and that's amazing. I might meet someone who is dressed head to toe in something I couldn't imagine myself in but good on them for being themselves and wearing whatever the heck they want.

As annoyed as I secretly got during the chat it's not a hate on the chats in general, I love heading there when they're on and talking to fellow bloggers about certain subjects and finding new blogs to follow. If you haven't joined in on one yet then you should, it's lovely being more active on social media and learning a little more about the people you may follow. The chats I try and make weekly are on Mondays and Thursday, head over to your twitter and search the hashtag #fbloggers between 8pm and 9pm to see what subjects on the agenda, you may even come away from it with more feelings than you thought much like myself.

Let's embrace my double denim get up and all agree to not hate on someone for wearing what they find 'fashionable'. For my ensemble I've stolen my other halves much loved Cheap Monday shirt and tucked it into a pair of darker washed denim jeans from BDG. I've also protested more by wearing a pair of sandals which I've said previously about how I've never been into, even more proof that we can change at any point. If you don't want to wear something then don't, but don't comment on how other people shouldn't wear it either. We are our own person and the reason fashion is so amazing is because we can express ourselves how ever we want.

AN ONGOING ADDICTION

25TH JUNE 2015 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!
OUTFITS
LISTENING TOO: NICK LOWE - SO IT GOES ♫
Top - Forever 21, shirt - thrifted, shorts - Levis (DIY), boots - Duo, hat - Primark, belt - Primark, jewelry - Topshop.

It's no secret that I'm bootie obsessed and with the help of Duo I've found the perfect pair of beige ankle boots! The search is off people, THE SEARCH IS OFF!

I actually can't believe I didn't own a pair of beige ankle boots, what's up with that? I have a few that could almost make the cut but these fit the bill perfectly. I have one pair with straps and buckles on and the hint of khaki and another with a wedge but these are plain, simple and amazing. Thank's to the lovely people over at Duo I've managed to feed my addition even more with this beautiful pair which fit right on into the forever growing bootie family.

Recently I've had an item or two that have been on the more expensive side of things and it's made me think about really investing in some key pieces for my wardrobe. I managed to get my hands on a sold out Marc Jacobs shirt - don't you worry, as soon as that suckers dry cleaned I will be sharing it in all of it's glory! and I have to say that spending a lot of money on an item is really worth it. I can't stress enough how amazing it feels to have a pair of handmade, leather boots on my feet. They're an absolute dream to stomp around in all day and they smell amazing... Is that odd? Maybe, but the smell of leather is something else!

Duo have some pretty special boots and shoes online at the moment and I'm thinking of saving up for different style as now I've witnessed having good quality shoes on my feet, I feel I need to up my boot game even more with a few really special ones. I do wear them on the daily so it'll be 100% worth it (there I go with the excuses again). They're currently running a sale which you can actually find this particular pair on, but hurry because they'll be all snatched up soon!

Not only are these boots perfect but the box arrived in was equally lovely, but I am a sucker for packaging after all! Do check out their website, especially now they're in sale,

PS - Today is my mothers birthday, happy birthday mumma Carpenter! Sorry I didn't get you a pair of these boots for your birthday...

THE CLASSICS

11TH MAY 2015
OUTFITS
LISTENING TOO: BLINK 182 - JOSIE ♫
Bralette - Topshop, shirt - thrifted, jacket - Primark, jeans - M&S, shoes - Van's Authentic, sunglasses - Matalan, watch - Topshop, jewelry - Topshop and Bloody Mary Metal.

This is a serious winner of an outfit choice for me and that could be the case for you too as the white shirt - leather jacket combo is a complete classic, is it not? I've always said that everyone needs a white shirt in their closet, weither it's formal and impeccably crisp or off-white and linen which tends to crease with every movement even though you did iron it numerous times that morning... I don't think I can get any more infuriated at my awful ironing skills iron any longer, it was a very long morning. This shirt was found for less than £3 in one of the local charity stores I used to visit back in Devon, it always had so many treasures in such as this Hard Rock Cafe shirt from an outfit post I shot a few months back, now you can't tell me that's not a retro treasure?!

On to another classic, my Van's checkered slip-on's. I'm not sure if I've mentioned these shoes before but they're pretty old, maybe even older than my trusty DM's that I wished a happy birthday to last week. But these are the shoes I bought when I was going through my 'emo' (barf) phase which was slowly becoming influenced by the boys of Fall Out Boy and Blink 182, I did end up naming these my 'Mark Hoppus' shoes after all. Even though I'm no longer living my 'emo' ways (thank god) I still love to wear my slip-ons on the regular and I'm actually thinking about buying a new pair in a different colour, these orange ones are calling my name! Speaking of new Van's though, have you seen the Disney range that's just been released?! Totally not my cup of tea but you've got to hand it to them as they're constantly making amazingly patterned shoes and even though the Disney thing isn't for me, the Star Wars and The Beatles ones definitely were.

Now I don't need to tell you how a leather jacket is the ultimate coat of choice and you need one just like you do a white shirt, because I think that's fairly obvious and if you don't have one *gasps* then we can't be friends go and buy yourself this amazingly perfect and cheap one over on Missguided or this even cheaper one on Newlook, OK?

THE FRENCH CLASSIC

21ST MAY 2015
OUTFITS
LISTENING TOO: CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG - HEY JOE ♫ Top - Newlook, trench coat - M&S, jeans - Primark, boots - M&S, sunglasses - Newlook, watch - Topshop, ring - Bloody Mary Metal, nails - Primark.

HOLY CRAP I HAVE INTERNET! This is revolutionary. I have gone over two weeks without it and it's been torture. That's quite a strong reaction but for someone who spends a lot of their day using it it's pretty awful and I'm sure most of you can agree with my on that one. It's been tedious having to watch normal television and not rely on Netflix or YouTube to keep me entertained. I haven't scrolled through Pinterest or read up on my daily blogs in so long, I have A LOT to catch up on! Thankfully I had a little bit of phone data but it's not quite the same having to watch what you do every time you use your mobile. I've also been dying to blog for so long and it it feels good finally sitting down at my new desk and writing posts for you all, I literally ran here as soon as it was installed! I'm also thrilled about having so many new locations to shoot in, the world Bristol is my oyster. So hallelujah! Back to the 21st century we go!

Let's talk outfits then, this is a favorite of mine and although you and I have seen it done a hundred and one times over (especially if you've taken a trip to Paris before) I still love it. The trench is so classic and whether you're male or female you have to invest in one. You also have to at some point wear it with stripes, just to be that extra bit Parisian. I don't know if that's a really bad stereotype or if it is in fact a french thing but I feel a trench coat and some navy and white stripes are the best combo ever made. This striped roll neck vest top is perfect for that and although it is actually black, you get my drift.

If I do go to Paris in the future I'm probably going to pack this outfit (and every one of my striped tops) and take a touristy photograph holding up the Eiffel Tower, it's got to be done really hasn't it?

Apologies if any Parisians were offended at any point during this post. *inserts monkey covering face emoji*
