DISCO SUCKS

This

sequin dress

is probably the most out-there piece I have in my wardrobe, and I'm not one to shy away from OTT things. Flamboyant patterns and bright coloured clothes are a heavy theme with me, but now it's time sequins made their way into my life. This number is a total disco dream, even being a firm believer that disco

does in fact suck

, I'll still be boogieing in this insane

The Ragged Priest

dress on Saturday night - with no Bee Gee's records in sight. It's the perfect party dress and I'll be milking it every weekend I have plans taking place in a bar surrounding.

I decided to make it less disco and more 90's pop by taking inspiration from The Spice Girls, because I know both Baby and Scary Spice would've worn this on stage. Keeping in theme I teamed it with the chunkiest pair of boots I own, looking back I should of took it that extra mile and sported some space buns...

I'm all kinds of in love with this dress, it's perfect for the upcoming festival season, general party occasions, OR day-to-day if you're really gonna go for it. That's one thing I love about The

Ragged Priest

, they make unique clothing for the bad-ass babes of the world who have a complete '

I don't give a fuck

' attitude about their style. So you wanna wear a sequin dress on hump day?

Go for it!

Want to tell the world how you're feeling with a naughty slogan tee?

Don't blame you!

Their new collection is something else, featuring pieces from the

classic striped tee

(with that cheeky slogan), to

leather motocross pants

. To me, they are one of the coolest brands going and always pull some seriously incredible pieces out of the bag.

My current favourites from their SS18 collection have to be the pieces featuring the python print. I'm a total sucker for animal print of any kind, so seeing that they've branched out into this for their new season product has my eyes turned to hearts. I'm also mad about the hints of yellow running through the entire collection, with their

mustard leather jacket

taking pride of place, and a pair of mega

yellow pants

to follow. The use of denim is strong in this collection too, taking boxy silhouettes and manly structures to create cool shirt dresses and over sized pants.

As I'm yet to get my hands on any of the new season drops, I wanted to share this sparkly number with you instead. I got this a while back, but hadn't had the time to shoot it. Now I've waited so long it's gone into the sale, so you can bag

this

for yourself at half the price over on The Ragged Priest. Go on,

unleash your inner Spice Girl!

THE PARISIAN CLASSIC

If you're a really hip blogger, then you would of read How To Be Parisian: Wherever You Are  many moons ago. Literally, everyone who is anyone was Instagraming this book (it is very beautiful and certainly worthy of a pic on the grid - guilty!). This book has a big place in my heart, although being a lover of Caroline De Maigret makes that easy. Since purchasing over three years ago, I still go to this hardback for constant inspiration. It's obvious Parisian style is one of the most influential, what with IT girls taking bits from their everyday, easy to wear outfits on the daily. We see everyone wearing a stripe, rocking a blazer and these hats, well they're everywhere! You might not realise it, but you take more from the incredible French girls and their laid-back, edgy style than you think! I know I do...

I've gone for the absolute classic that is a stripe, also known as a Breton stripe. Did you know that traditionally this came from the French navy? Clearly a nautical pattern, but can be worn in so many different ways. I myself DO  NOT opt for a sea-like attire, you'll wont see an anchor in sight here! If you're looking for ways to dress at the beach, you've come to the wrong place. I've styled it to fit my usual, 90's grunge style instead.

I've donned the laid-back vibe keeping thoughts of the French in mind. I recently purchased these skater jeans from Asos, expecting them to be hideous on. Baggy jeans rarely fit my shape, but these are THE perfect style for me. They are the a mix between baggy but still feminine, being tighter on my (flat) bum than my legs. I've certainly become obsessed with these jeans, so much so that I've ordered more pairs... Skater jeans, you are my new love!

My usual accessories have come out to play. I wear my Raybans and baker boy hat nearly everyday, knowing I will never be as cool as Clémence Poésy, but a girl can try...

CHOOSE PEACE

It's safe to say this is the first time I've ever worn a white outfit, and I'm surprisingly feeling it. It had to be done considering my top is giving a message of peace and as white is the sign of that, it was the inevitable. Is that totally ridiculous? Either way it was a good excuse to experiment and be a bit of a smart arse in the process. I'm usually wearing all black and although white isn't the most colourful (is it even a colour at all?) it's still a refreshing change from the norm.

To start my all white get-up, I'm wearing this basic t-shirt from Monki that I'm obsessing over, purely for the message it sends and the comfort it gives. Basics with a difference are my current wardrobe essential, I always reach for a slouchy tee with a slogan on. Easy to throw on and because there on trend, they look super stylish too. They are the new 'it girl' staple!

My other wardrobe essential right now has to be the array of mini skirts that have taken Topshop by storm. A friend of mine told me she has never seen so many different types of mini skirts on one girl before, and that's because I have basically bought every one Topshop has released. I've shown you all my sassy little metallic pink number, well this is that in white! I also have it in denim and leather... I used to always wear jeans and a t-shirt, but now I've replaced my classic Jamie jeans for these with zero regrets! I never thought I'd wear skirts on an everyday basis, being a complete creature of habit makes it hard to get out of a routine. I've gotten over that now and I'm forever getting my legs out in these cute minis!

It was an obvious choice to wear my wannabe Saint Laurent shades with this outfit, keeping with the white theme and purely because they're the dreamiest of shades. It took me forever to find the perfect shaped versions of these, many stores have made dupes but gone about it all wrong giving them too much of a cat-eye, or not making them round enough. After hunting high and low I finally found Depop was the answers to my prayers! If any ones going to wear shades like Kurt Cobain, it's going to be me!

To complete my slightly preachy outfit, I've customised my everyday leather with some badges. I had to opt for that classic Lennon quote, as well as wearing a pride flag with, well, pride! Two things I'm both passionate and proud about sharing with the world. Also, I couldn't not bring my vintage Playboy pin to the party!

A LETTER TO THE BABES OF ASOS

Dear all you fashionistas that work at the ASOS HQ, how do you do it?! How do you all look so perfectly cool and effortless every single day? Please, teach me your ways! I've been slowly stumbling upon every single ASOS styists' Instagram, granted, there are dozens! But, I've found a fair few and nearly every one has given me heaps of inspiration. Being an ASOS stylist would be a dream, one of my personal dreams in fact. Styling up their pieces and snapping it for a living sounds like my idea of a good time. I hear it's very hard and competitive to land a job with such a brand, so that's just another reason I have serious envy for these guys and gals over at the HQ!

The three mega babes that I find myself scrolling through up to four times a day - guilty - include Olivia Smith (@asos_olive), Felicity Hayward (@asos_felicity) and Sara Thomas (@asos_saralouise). All three have completely different styles but each hold a part of mine, so I adore them all. The chick I'm focusing on today though is Olivia Smith. Urban, chic and fucking cool...

I've seen Olivia frolicking around with pants similar to these over on her Instagram, both work and personal (@oliviafayesmith). It's clear these are serious 'it-girl' trousers, all they need are the Kappa logo gracing the sides of them or a large Adidas label on the front to be that extra bit cool. I can't pull off sportswear as well as others, I'm too conscious of the fact I can't wear an ounce of leather if I do, so I tend to leave that to the experts. I'd like to give it a whirl and experiment though, this outfit alone is a step out of my usual style so I'm not doing too bad already.

Since buying these trousers from Primark I've had a crazy amount of compliments which has warmed my heart and made me realise how boring jeans can be. I'm bored of wearing black skinny jeans every day of my life - so here's to me experimenting! Go me! I've also been told these wannabe Converse are pretty cool to, probably too cool for me to be wearing. I'm kidding, it's important to embrace what we wear and even if we don't know if we can pull it off, go for it anyway. If you like it, wear it - my favourite motto.

BODY - ASOS | TROUSERS - PRIMARK | CHUCKS - PULL & BEAR | JACKET - ZARA | GLASSES - ASOS | JEWELLERY - BLOODY MARY METAL & DEPOP

As this OOTD is ASOS inspired, I thought I'd share some similar pieces with you that can be found on their website. Firstly, the killer trousers that are all over their website. My top pick are these Cheap Monday pair that are without the white stripe and more expensive, but absolutely stunning. They also have some coloured versions like pink and blue which are extremely tempting. As for my shoes, you can get the official Converse pair but good luck finding them, and for a decent price at that. If you have no luck, check out all the flamed pieces online. These Jeffrey Campbell sneakers are an expensive dream but totally worth the money and have even more flames to swoon over.

It's fun to experiment like I have with today's outfit, especially if you've got a wide and eclectic array of styles like myself. Although this outfit is different for me, It's still got an element of grunge with the chucks and leather jacket. If I stick to my usual clobber too much I find myself in a complete rut, so I've started being braver with my outfits and it's done me the world of good mixing things up. As cheese as it is to say, I feel free, I feel like I can wear anything and the care I have about it is extremely minimal. So a personal thank you is in order to the inspiring babes who don't give a single crap about what others think. Thank you, you rule!

(TRYING TO BE) PRETTY IN PINK | 18.12.16

It's been one of those months where everything has gone mental and my life has been one big ball of busy. I have zero complaints to make about how hectic things are right now, filling my time with fun things isn't exactly painful. With that though has come no new blog content for a few weeks, which is one downside to having a mad schedule. Fear not though, I made some time and posted this gem of an outfit for you!

I decided to make it a good one and go all out with this metallic jacket of dreams, which has been sitting in my housemates wardrobe for weeks calling for me to wear it. Honestly, living with mates is great when you're so fucking bored of your own clothes and want a change. This particular housemate (Elisha, I'm talking about you doll!) has a taste for the crazy and colourful side of fashion. We're talking multicoloured fluff and bright green berets. Yeah, she's as cool as she sounds.

After a while my willpower caved and I had to lay my hands on the jacket, it was as good as I thought it would be. I don't ever want to give it back but I think she might just hate me for keeping it locked away in my room, still tempted though. It was purchased from Pretty Little Thing, a site that I have never actually ordered from before, despite it being stupidly popular in the blogging world - even bigger now Sophia Richie is the face of their new advert! I'd been on there before but never made the plunge to purchase anything, I'm half tempted now though as this isn't the only killer jacket they've got in stock. Take a look at the khaki and orange version, perfect for smashing this seasons military trend!

It was time I embraced some colour and go for some baby pink Dr Martens as well. I obviously couldn't go all the whole way so dulled it down with black jeans and my new Ramones halterneck, a cool change to a basic band tee. I love the contrast of the bright and dark in this outfit, adding some pink to the mix was a great idea but adding metallic was even better. I've been eyeing up the metals a lot this season, seeing skirts and shoes in beautiful shades of metallic.  It was cool to give it a try and it's certainly wet my appetite for more.

I had a lot of fun stealing this jacket and getting a feel of what it's like to wear something super sassy. It's made me think about investing in some out-there pieces to spice up my wardrobe a little more. I certainly don't need anymore coats in my life, but I'm keen to find some unique accessories to start me off.

SOME GIRLS | 1.9.16

It's a mighty rare occasion when I've got a pair of trainers on my feet, although I do have to make an exception for Converse, Vans or these stupidly cool Supergas. I never thought I'd be that into Superga but when they're covered in The Rolling Stones licks I had to change my mind rather quickly. Not only do I love these shoes because of what they have on them, but they also give me all the feels from when I went to see Exhibitionism in London a few months back. After strolling around the gallery with a heavy heart and every Stones song possible stuck in my head, we came across a large room which contained so much memorabilia I could have spent my entire wages here. These shoes were one of the many items available to buy, but, at the time, I had zero pence to my name. Having them on my brain for weeks afterwards, I then found them online and thankfully I had some money to spare! So, now I'm here with a pair of sneakers that make me feel funny inside and happen to look fucking killer too.

I've gone for the popular option with my shirt because as you're probably aware, everyone has it. But that's OK because girls are great, obviously, so I don't mind that most ladies own one, we've got to get the girl power out there after all! I have mixed it up with some ribbed flares though which just so happen to be the chillest pair of bottoms I have ever owned, it feels like I'm wearing pyjamas and what's not to love about that? It makes a change from tough denim that isn't at all kind to my bottom half.

This is slowly becoming my regular 'day off' attire that works wonders when drinking coffee and brunching as they do have a very stretchy waist band, and I certainly need that when I'm being a greedy slob off the clock. I think we all have that outfit we go back to when all we want to do is be comfortable, and that doesn't necessarily have to be unattractive or dull. Make it fun with a slogan tee and some out-there trainers, maybe add a pair of Lolita sunglasses while you're at it! No one has to know these pants are the comfiest things in the world!

TOMMY'S GIRL | 10.8.16

Tommy Hilfiger is an iconic ninties brand that everyone has heard of, he's pretty much a household name. He's loved by celebrities and teenagers across the globe and I can't help but love him myself as it brings back memories from 2007. It's not that when I was thirteen I was wearing his gear, it's that all of the people I looked up to wore it which made it iconic to me. You must remember Britney in those stupidly baggy Hilfiger dungarees?!

Sweater - We Are Cow (vintage)
Jeans - Topshop 'Cain'
Boots - Office
Belt - Primark
Hat - Vintage
Sunglasses -H&M

Items available to shop online are linked!

Although his brand is typically classed as sportwear it's been taken over by many of the stylish people that surround us, like Gigi Hadid and Suki Waterhouse, who have different styles but both wear it perfectly. I'm more of a Suki girl myself but I give credit to Gigi for styling her Hilfiger so damn well with her many denim alternatives.

I found this gem while rummaging through We Are Cow, you'd think it would of cost me an arm and a leg but it only cost me £25 which is phenomenal for vintage brands. Most of his product sells for way more than that in places like Urban Outfitters and Asos, so buying second hand is the way to go if you want to score some older brands for half the price.

As I'm feeling all sorts of nineties right now I kept it going with the rest of my look. I decided to wear my new Topshop 'Cain' jeans which fit well with that era. They're trying hard to be straight leg but can't resist reverting back to the skinny jean cut. These jeans are great if you're on the look out for a different style, they're high waisted so obviously flatter you in all the right places and have that retro vibe thanks to the washed out denim and slightly straight look. I barely wear blue jeans but I made an exception for these, that's how much I'm feeling them.

I couldn't seem to stray away from my comfort zone by bringing my baker boy hat forward a couple of decades with me. Ninities is cool and everything, but the sixties is where my heart is!

STARRY EYED IN CALVIN KLEIN | 26.4.16

Mr Klein has made quite the come back in recent months what with stores like Urban Outfitters and Topshop selling his brand like it's their own. We sell Calvin Klein underwear sets by the plenty and I get it, it's cute and completely classic. I would love to spend £40 on some fabric to cover my modesty but I'm just not that kind of girl, I would accept it as a gift though.

Sweater - Calvin Klein @ Topshop, shirt - Asos, jeans - Primark, trainers - Topshop, sunglasses - Matalan.

Until I'm feeling naughty and want to spend my weekly food budget on panties, I'll take this sweater (which is retailing at £90 now when I got mine for £45 back when it wasn't as cool to own it) I scored at Christmas with a gift card instead. It's great to layer over other pieces, in this instance I've finally got round to showing off this star printed colourful number which forever reminds me of my gal Megan Ellaby as she rocked the hell out of it last season. I'm about 5 months late to the club but a patterned shirt will never go out of style to me.

As if the stars on my shirt weren't an overkill I had to add more with these super tacky trainers. They're my wannabe YSL sneakers that I've been dreaming of for so long it pains me. YSL, you will always hurt my feelings and one day my bank balance will split in two just like my broken heart. Anyone care to fix it? If so I'll take the real thing pronto!

THE DRIVE JACKET | 31.3.16

If you have yet to see Drive featuring my all time crush, Ryan Gosling, then you won't understand my constant referencing throughout this post so this is a warning and an apology. On with the referencing we go! In the film Gosling wears one killer driving jacket which is silver with an embroidered golden scorpio on the back. Obviously he looks magical while wearing it and I can't say I'm on quite the same level, although now I have this jacket in my life I do think it bumps up my cool a couple of notches. I've started to call it my Drive jacket and it makes me feel like I'm walking around in a bubble of happiness with a slight era of cockiness, standard.

Shirt - vintage, bomber - Topshop, jeans - Topshop , boots - Topshop, scarf - Asos.

It's been a mighty long time since I've fallen for a piece of clothing that wasn't above the £200 mark so treating myself was definitely a must when it came to this bomber. Every time I graced my presence at work I saw it styled so perfectly in photographs which didn't help my need for it one bit. I thought I'd never get my hands on it after waiting months for it to come into stock at my Topshop but I struck some luck for once in my life as a customer returned one - HOORAY! I've never loved a customer so much as I did that day. It did cost me a pretty penny but thankfully I get a little discount which eased the pain ever so slightly. Besides the steep price tag it's totally worth the money because it is two jackets in one, yep you heard right IT'S REVERSIBLE! You thought it was cool already and now I've hit you with some more.

I really think I've sold this jacket to you so please feel free to tell my boss that my selling technique is on point. If a piece of clothing makes you feel like Gosling then why the hell wouldn't you want it?!

RED ALERT | 26.2.16

You couldn't tell from this outfit but I don't actually like the colour red, it's probably my least favourite colour which is why I'm always going to and from this jacket. I've had it for years now and the idea of a bad ass red leather jacket has always made my heart sing but sometimes I look at it hanging on my rail and think, 'is that seriously ugly or can I pull this off?'. Most of the time I don't care if I can pull something off or not but this isn't the most subtle jacket in existence so it does take some balls to don it and as if the colour wasn't enough the studs and cropped length add to the ballsiness even more to make it a seriously out there piece.

Top - American Apparel, denim waistcoat - vintage, jacket - Forever 21 (similar), jeans - Topshop, boots - Ted & Muffy, sunglasses - Primark (mens)

At the moment I'm on the love end of the spectrum and have all sorts of strong feelings for the jacket. I'm thinking it's because it goes so well with a standard Breton t-shirt or this red, white and blue number from American Apparel as well as my dozens of Stones shirts. It also makes a change from my every day black leather which I'm trying to wean myself off of as I'm starting to think my outfits are getting a bit standard and lazy. What says non-standard more than a crimson red jacket and boots to match? Go hard or go home! In this instance I probably went too hard and should of left the booties at home because boy, that is a lot of red especially for someone who hates that colour. Great, am I now back to hating it? I just can't make my mind up.

GIRLS IN GRIMMY | 26.10.15

I've walked past the Nick Grimshaw x Topman range nearly everyday since the launch on October 15th and it's been a painful couple of weeks let me tell you that. I fell in love with it when seeing a little sneak peek on social media after the preview party back in June. Monochrome goodness and leopard print at it's finest, It was obviously going to make me weak at the knees with all those rock star vibes. I read somewhere that he wanted it to be the kind of clothes a posh boy wants to wear to look scruffy and I love that idea, who wants to look prim and proper all the time? It makes me think of some teen that wants to go out and be a little naughty for the night and he should do it in one Grimmys patterned shirts instead of his freshly ironed Oxford. Go on, be a little messy and untuck that shirt.

Shirt - Topman, waistcoat - Vintage, jeans - Newlook, boots - Asos (Depop), hat - eBay, necklace - Topman, rings - Bloody Mary Metal

With the range being a pretty big hit in the men's department I had to put my spin on it by being my usual self and wear clothing 'made' for the opposite sex, and why the hell not? 'But it's a mans shirt' you say, blah blah blah I really don't care and neither should you. I think it's bad ass and I will wear it no matter what, fashion is about wearing what you want and how could I pass up this shirt? Well I couldn't, OK? Men's or women's if you like it, don it. Also, did you see Harry Styles wearing it? Of course that's going to make me want to wear it even more than I already did. I do wonder what Nick himself would think of a woman wearing or promoting his clothes though, would it be bad for his line or would he think it was cool? I like to think he'd enjoy it as much as I do because lets get real, gender isn't needed for a t-shirt or in general.

The collection looked dreamy on both Nick and Harry and it's completely my sort of thing too. I love the leopard print coat so much I've had it looming over me for days now but am still yet to press the 'Buy Now' button which is what I usually do when I love something on a high level, thinking about an piece of clothing night and day is ridiculous but it is the jacket of my dreams, quite literally. As for the item I did go ahead and purchase though, I adore it and it's taken centre stage in my large stash of shirts. The shirt screams Styles so I really did have to wear my glitter booties with it, I tried to steer away but I just couldn't, it needed some brightness with a little girlie - grunge added to the mix, (these are all excuses if you couldn't tell) the perfect combination.

I do like Nick Grimshaw and let's face it his personal style is on point and totally the male version of mine at times so I was certainly going to be a supporter of his Topman range from the start. He really has out done himself and created some great one-off pieces that also make great outfits when put together, which is something I really like about it. You could wear any of the tops under any of the jackets and you're sorted.

Now listen Mr Grimshaw, although I don't have man-size feet I do think it's time you brain stormed some shoes because I'm sure they'll be just as rad as the rest of it. I'm thinking leather rocker booties that would make any indie band member proud to be seen in?! Time to get scrap booking!

STANDING OUT WITH TED & MUFFY | 12.10.15

I intended to stand out purely with the boots but this shirt just gravitated towards me and I had to go with it, match made in heaven or ultimate fashion faux pas? Whatever it is I'm into it! As mentioned in my previous post I received another treat from Ted&Muffy*, a company I am totally in love with. It's easy to be in love with a shoe company because anything that goes on my feet is my sort of thing but this particular company never fail to amaze. How can I not get excited when I look upon such glorious scarlet red pointed booties? They are the ultimate rocker boot and I adore them!

Shirt - Marks & Spencer, trousers - Newlook, coat - Topshop, boots - Ted&Muffy*, earrings - Topshop, Necklace - Vintage

I thought these shoes needed to be worn smart-casual to add a sort of effortless Parisian vibe, very Clémence Poésy inspired. Wearing baggy suit pants with a smart shirt carelessly tucked in looks like you've made a lot of effort but in reality you really haven't, thank goodness for smart trousers! I could easily live in these pants as they look pretty cool with a pair of ankle boots and any kind of top, even a basic tee would look great teamed with it as these boots will certainly add some colour and fun to a simple attire. This sort of outfit is so simple and looks way more than it actually is, the flamboyant top half and smart bottom looks dressy but inside I'm feeling bliss from the pure comfort of it all. My shoes ooze comfort too, one of the many perks to wearing high-end items I suppose.

Did I mention these particular boots come in black? They would be the perfect everyday boot that goes with basically everything in your wardrobe. We've all got to have a simple pair of black ankle boots for daily wear and I couldn't recommend these ones more. Or, if you're feeling a little fruity and out-there then you've got to get the red ones, you won't regret it!

CHANNEL YOUR PARENTS | 5.10.15

Whenever I wear flares I can't help but think of my beautiful mother, Mandy. Mandy, you remind me of a pair of pants - sorry about that! I don't know if it's because she does don a pair often of the fact that in those old family photos shes rocking a pair too I don't know but she looks fab in them whenever. It's time for me to finally wear a pair though and take a page from the parents book, I bet my dad wasn't shy of a few pairs of baggy denim pants either. My dad is mainly being channelled through my Stones t-shirt though, I always remember seeing his many albums in this cabinet which helped me fall in love with the band from a young age. So this outfit does remind me of the pair of them - how cute of me! What a loving daughter I am.

Top - Forever 21, jeans - Topshop, boots - Topshop (similar), jacket - Primark (similar), necklace - Topman, rings - Bloody Mary Metal

Enough gooey talk about them though and let's focus on this get-up. I don't want to blow my own trumpet and all but this outfit is very cool and who knew flares could be cool? Not many people that's for sure, the amount of hate I see about them in crazy - leave them alone! I for one adore a rad pair of bell bottoms and these ones I scored in the Topshop sale for £5, I think the correct word for that is WINNING! I do feel strange not wearing a pair of tight bottoms but it was quite a glorious change from the norm and I'm thinking these may be my new jean of choice for those days where comfort rules above everything.

A comfy rock 'n' roll attire wouldn't be complete without leather and leopard so my everyday leather jacket and one of my many pairs of animal print booties had to be worn to complete my new favourite look. You should go through your parents wardrobes and music stash (with their permission) sometime and see if anything inspires your way of dressing or even your music taste, who knows maybe your parents could potentially be cool too.

PAISLEY PATTERNED DREAM COAT | 14.9.15

I think we can all agree that you need this dreamy ass coat in your life because it's made mine a whole lot better. It's no shock that I'd go for the most eccentric patterned piece of clothing on the Blue Vanilla website because we all know my love for anything slightly mad and this jacket - kimono type thing definitely tops my fruit cake. I freaking love it! Paisley is one of my all time favorite patterns and the colour pallet that goes with this one is beautiful, very autumnal too might I say. I know, the dreaded winter vocab will be spilling out of all of our mouths sooner rather than later but you know, this jacket is perfect for that season.

Top - Forever 21, shorts - M&S, kimono - Blue Vanilla, boots - Newlook (similar) belt - Primark (similar)

It's so whimsical and retro but what I really love about this jacket/kimono contraption - let's just call it a kimono - is that it's so versatile, I can wear it so many ways. I can loose the belt and have it as a slouchy overcoat or if I was feeling extra fancy I could cinch it in even more and wear it as a coat dress which is very on trend right now. I think it would look unreal in the evening with a pair of black heels and a smart clutch along with a tight pony tail and golden accessories.

I especially want to wear it to a Fleetwood Mac concert where I can join in with Lindsey Buckingham and the gang and float about in the crowd while my ears fill with the joyous sounds of their voices - dreamy!

EAGLE BOMBER | 17.8.15

My mind is blown at the fact it's taken me this long to wear this bomber, this totally amazing bomber. I bought it more than a month ago and kind of forgot about it until now, I am aware of how bad that is and I have given myself a well deserved slap on the wrist for it. You may have seen it in a haul video I did two months ago but since then it hasn't been worn despite how awesome I think it is. But having said that, today was in fact the day this beauty came out to play!
Top - Forever 21, jacket - H&M, shorts - Forever 21, boots - River Island, sunglasses - Matalan.

I thought it would look cool with some boho pieces like these tapestry shorts from Forever 21 as the jacket itself is quite native. I wanted to take that further and add some pattern and these shorts were a match made in heaven, the colours go perfect together and make a change from a pair of denim cut-offs. I'm so obsessed with Forever 21 and their selection of shorts that I've worked up quite the collection, these being my favorite so far so I just had to get some more wear out of them before the sun went down for another year!

I feel I haven't worn much pattern in a while so I went all out with a clash of leopard print for my booties, booties that I can't actually walk in without highly embarrassing myself and towering over any person that walks past... They do make my pins looks extra elongated and thin for once though which I am happy about. As much as I think these boots are killer (in more sense than one) I've got to be honest as I have only worn these once to a club and hated every moment of it - not just because I was in a club but because they made me stick out like a sore thumb in a small room full of drunken teenagers half my height. With that being said I am thinking of passing these on to someone with more heel experience so you may just see them pop up over on my eBay along with lot's of other bits and bobs so make sure you head there for some of my pre-loved goods!

DON'T DO DOUBLE DENIM

So let's get this straight, double denim is a love or hate trend and for me it's a 100% yes please! I've mentioned before about my love for the double D (that sounded a little naughty) look and I'm going to talk about it in more depth because it grinds my gears way more than it probably should, not double denim itself but something that tends to come along with it...

A week ago during an #fbloggers chat on Twitter there were major talks about 'fashion rules' and how people live by certain ones, which for starters made me a little sad. People were saying about how they would never wear this and never wear that and I sat there thinking, ok, fair play you're not currently into that trend but I said the same thing about sandals and look whats on my feet people, sandals! I know it's easy to say you'd never wear something but just hold on ladies and gents, people change. Living by certain rules isn't the way to go and you shouldn't hold yourself back when you may think 'oh, she looks great in those socks and trainers but I said I'd never wear that so I can't'... No, wear what you want and don't let a decision you made previously determine that.

On said Twitter chat a lot of people responded to the question 'do you have any fashion rules?' with a flurry of 'I WOULD NEVER WEAR DOUBLE DENIM!!'. I sat there in my denim shirt and pants feeling proud of myself for wearing something a majority of people somewhat despised. One girl even said 'people who wear double denim have no fashion sense, I would never be caught dead in it'. I understand people not being into a certain item of clothing or a current fashion trend, I get that, I for one don't like Ugg boots but that girl walking down the street wearing a pair can carry on, it's her choice and she can do what the hell she likes because after all, isn't that the joy of fashion? Again, tattoo chokers, not for me but some people like Amy Valentine and Zoe London look smoking even when wearing one so that doesn't mean I instantly think they have no sense of style! Fashion has no rules and that's amazing. I might meet someone who is dressed head to toe in something I couldn't imagine myself in but good on them for being themselves and wearing whatever the heck they want.

As annoyed as I secretly got during the chat it's not a hate on the chats in general, I love heading there when they're on and talking to fellow bloggers about certain subjects and finding new blogs to follow. If you haven't joined in on one yet then you should, it's lovely being more active on social media and learning a little more about the people you may follow. The chats I try and make weekly are on Mondays and Thursday, head over to your twitter and search the hashtag #fbloggers between 8pm and 9pm to see what subjects on the agenda, you may even come away from it with more feelings than you thought much like myself.

Let's embrace my double denim get up and all agree to not hate on someone for wearing what they find 'fashionable'. For my ensemble I've stolen my other halves much loved Cheap Monday shirt and tucked it into a pair of darker washed denim jeans from BDG. I've also protested more by wearing a pair of sandals which I've said previously about how I've never been into, even more proof that we can change at any point. If you don't want to wear something then don't, but don't comment on how other people shouldn't wear it either. We are our own person and the reason fashion is so amazing is because we can express ourselves how ever we want.
