OUR SPANISH ROAD-TRIP | PART THREE

We ventured down south for our next stop, and after numerous toll roads and highways, we finally made it to the legendary Peníscola. We were hit by tourism at it’s finest, with a handful of Spanish lads on their holidays and the older generation taking shade on the beaches. Although I love a little bit of tacky holiday fun, beyond the cheese there lay the most incredible old town, which was a wonderful surprise to us. So, we spent our days frolicking on the sand and our evenings wandering through the cobbled streets of the old town.

Peníscola gave me so much joy, we had a lot of fun not giving a fuck and playing on the beach while getting merry. I know I said in my last post that Montseny was my favourite part of our trip, but it’s so hard to actually choose between them, everywhere was so damn special!

Tomorrow is the last part of my Spanish Roadtrip series, we end up taking the route north for an unexpected night before heading back to Barcelona for one last day…
