I’ve recently come back from spending time away exploring the northeast of Spain with my boyfriend. We visited cities, mountains and beaches all in the small space of a couple of weeks. It was an amazing experience and something I want to do every time I go away from here on out. We booked our stay in some places we’d never even heard of before, not knowing a single thing as to what it would be like, and boy did we strike gold. Wherever we went, we adored. Our first port of call was Barcelona, a place I’ve been before, a city that already has my heart.
Being an old soul, I wanted to capture moments on film rather than my mobile phone. I’m a firm believer of photo albums and coffee table books, my nan always used to get the family albums out when I was a child, and that’s one tradition I’d like to carry on in my lifetime. We are the digital age and I don’t think anyone really even thinks about albums and photos in physical form anymore. Having memories to look back on is important, be it two years time or twenty, I always want to saver those times and have them in my home to cherish. You never know when your computer might go down, and Instagram won't be around forever, so maybe it’s time to print your favourite photographs and make sure you have memories forever too!
Here are my forever memories that are now stored on my coffee table in my new home (which I’ll be coming back to talk about in a few weeks time). I took five rolls of film with me on our trip, and after a hefty £60 bill from my developer I’m here with nearly two hundred images to look back on and share with you, my family and my friends. So, I guess you could say it’s priceless really.
I’ll start with the first leg of our trip - Barcelona, where we spent three days in the city meeting new friends and exploring, before starting our little road-trip. I’ll be sharing my photographs over here on my next few blog posts, so stay tuned for the next part of our journey!
