This is the first of many incredible shoots I've got to share here on my blog, you'll be seeing them all over my Instagram feed and I'll no doubt be tweeting them five times a day, so you better get used to it! Can you blame me though? I'm feeling incredibly grateful for all of the opportunities I've had recently and I'm pinning it down to the fact that I've made great a change in my life.
Two weeks ago I moved to Manchester. I quit a job that I enjoyed and moved out of a house I wasn't paying any rent for because I desperately needed change. If you've been around a while, you'll know the ins and outs of my hectic life, knowing that I've moved (literally) dozens of times in the past three years. I do crave change and trying new things, but I can easily say that not having a place to call home really isn't something I enjoy, not even slightly.
Moving from the outside of London to Manchester was a huge debate I had to have. London is my second home and somewhere that has my heart, but also a place that I've seen all too much of recently. I no longer got excited to venture around the city, nothing was new and everyone around me was also feeling the same. As much as I will forever love our capital, it no longer inspired me and didn't feel different or exciting enough to move to. I felt like I'd already achieved what I'd wanted from the city already, I also think moving there would of make me fall out of love with it, which would of been heartbreaking as that's where I spent my young adult life. So, I wanted something completely new, and that was Manchester. This place is already treating me so well, I'm yet to have one negative thought towards my decision to up and move. It's not been easy, in fact it's been a very stressful few weeks. I'm jobless and money is very tight, but I won't let that get me down. Here I am in a new city, surrounded by new people and opportunities, there is no way I'm going to let anything bring me down.
Since being here, I've had so much positivity from social media. I've had an unreal amount of support come flooding into my DM's it really is filling me with all the love I need to keep me afloat. Therefore, get yourselves ready for ALL of the stellar content coming your way. I've got some seriously cool collaborations with photographers and brands to share, and I hope it doesn't stop anytime soon. Manchester has been so kind to me already, and I feel like this is the best change I've ever made in my life.
The first shoot I'm sharing is one I shot with The Unidentified Rocker (AKA The Boyfriend) and Adam Mane. We decided to take our new season The Kooples pieces for a spin and get Adam to capture them. We've got a lot of up and coming work together, so we simply wanted to practice shooting as a duo before really getting stuck into these amazing opportunities we've been given. We are both die hard fans of the brand, so it only seemed right to wear their product in our first ever photo-shoot together.
