Who’s ready for more slogan tee goodness?! You, I hope. I’ve breifly mentioned this next brand over on my socials as they’ve kindly gifted me pieces before. This time they’ve launched a new collection which is equally as good as the first. Without actually knowing me personally, I really feel like they do know me, they just totally get me.
I’m a huge muso, everything in my life revolves around music. I’m smitten. So, my clothes often end up reflecting my current music tastes. Zeppelin though, that’s one band that will never just be a phase. I own a handful of Led Zeppelin t-shirts, but this one is completely different from the norm. Ornate Revival have scrapped the album covers and gone for a trendy slogan to win over those Robert Plant lovers AKA me.
My last piece was also an ode to the legendary rock and roll group and a twist on the cult classic film Dazed and Confused. You could think of it reffering to either, which is what I loved about that tee. Whatever they create has a slight feel of the seventies to it, and an almost Stoned Immaculate vibe, just far more accessable and affordable - perfect! Their past collection of graphic tees was a retro, hazy dream and I would of worn all of the pieces, which isn’t something that happens very often. The new range is still as good featuring a more modern twist. As someone who collects band t-shirts, it’s cool to have pieces that are different. There are only so many tee’s I can buy with the Rolling Stones lick on, you know? So including lyrics or references is a nice, unique touch.
This time they’re opening their doors to more popular artists and styles other than just the retro kind. If you’re a Tame Impala fan for example, then you can gracefully nod to Kevin Parker with the Apocalypse Dreams tee, I think he would personally love the floresent colours and trippy font.
Take a look at their other Psych inspired pieces by shopping their site and preview their lookbook for some styling help if needed. I decided to wear mine with some incredible sequin pants that match the graphic and the band perfectly, as well as a vintage denim and rocker boots. See Ornate Revivals full range of tee’s here!
