Last week I mentioned I was going to share some new, independ brands that are on my radar and step away from talking about my usual suspects. I’ve got two super cool brands to talk about which have both slayed the t-shirt game for me.
First up is Before July, which is the utimate cool-girl brand, even their website is asetheticly pleasing with warm pastel colours and perfectly styled, laid-back lookbooks. It’s simple yet edgy, and only having a select few pieces available makes the brand feel premium and sleek.
Although they’ve nailed the slogan tee, I wanted to draw focus on their other pieces as well. It’s refreshing seeing a brand widen their collections by releasing a select handful of different and unique items. Before July have aced it by giving us totally in trend checked pants and skin tight mini dresses with more slogans and edgy text on - seriously Instagram friendly.
My favourite items have to be the vintage renewal pieces, where they’ve sourced old denim and customised them with cool embroidery. I’m particularly obsessed with the ‘Show Girls’ denim, it’s such a retro piece that is calling out to be worn with more denim, vintage chucks and an old baseball cap, I just love it!
I’ve spoken time and time again about my love for statement tee’s, I have atleast three draws dedicated to them in my wardrobe. When in doubt, throw on a t-shirt with some cute text on! You just can’t go wrong, they literally go with everything! My favourite pass-time is to wear one a little more naughty, but because the graphic is so lovely it takes time for people to realise it actually says something crude - Fashionable and fun!
I love nothing more than finding independent brands to support and shout about, especially when it comes to pieces like this. You can head to the high-street and find a heck load of t-shirts, but finding niche ones that aren’t worn by everyone makes it so much better. It also feels good to support independent businesses. That’s one huge perk to being in the blogging game, being able to find these amazing companies and share them with others in whatever way we can.
I ended up styling this t-shirt with a faux leather star print skirt and my new winter accessory that I didn’t know I needed until now - a fuzzy leopard print beret. I wanted to style it like I knew Before July would, which is pretty much how I dress most of the time anyway. The brand speaks to me on so many levels, creating pieces that I would cherish having in my own wardrobe. It’s not often you find brands that nail everything so well and are totally in sync to your own style, and I’m so happy to be sharing more of these types of pieces with you over here!
