WHITE OUT

In last weeks fashion post I showed you a (nearly) entirely cream outfit. I wasn’t quite bold enough to go all out with the white look, but this week I grew some and went for it. I, once again, was inspired by my Pinterest feed. I’ll forever go on and on about my love for Pinterest, but honestly, having hundreds of inspirational images at your fingertips is heavenly. Mine is now completely tailor-made to me, I’ve been using the site for years, pinning and posting, which has now lead to my explore page being perfect for me to sit back and scroll away. It’s rare I come across a photo I dislike, I’m forever pinning away and updating my boards - it’s little obsessive. Every time I come away from a ten-minute pinning spree I feel so incredibly inspired (unlike the way I feel when I log off of Instagram - read my last post to hear all about those problems) which I love. My head is constantly flowing with ideas and the need to create, it’s a stylist and photographers dream! It’s the best tool for me, both personally and for business. I can’t rave about it enough!

Pinterest is where I got the inspiration for my all white look. Colour blocking is something I’m experimenting with at the moment - it’s usually all black… But, I’m going bold and mixing it up! My last look was more neutral, using creams as my base but keeping tonal with beige and darker shades of brown. It wasn’t as daring as I could have gone, so this time I went all out, using white as my main colour.

You may remember I stated that ‘white was too clinical for me’, but what a difference a week makes! I sat down and really thought about how I could pull it off. Then, I opened Pinterest and saw some babe in white pants and a white t-shirt. She (of course) looked incredible, like a model off duty, someone who could pull off a bin bag with arm holes - BUT, it’s not good thinking things like that. If you want to give it a go, do it! I got all excited and wanted to create a similar look, but being more out-there and failing to keep things plain, I just had to throw on my white cowboy boots and fully go for the all-white vibe!

Keeping with the western theme of my boots, I decided to raid my boyfriends' wardrobe and hunt down his Dazey L.A. t-shirt for a ditsy, cowgirl look. Matching my accessories perfectly with a pop of colour in my bandana and retro shaped sunglasses. Going all white was fun, but I couldn’t resist adding just a little bit of colour in there somehow!

Going all-out white was a little scary because let’s face it these jeans do not flatter me in the slightest. I always go on about how much I hate white jeans (mostly on the opposite sex, sorry boys) so I might be a slight hypocrite for wearing these. But, as I always say you grow, you change, and it’s always good to try new things. If I like a look so much, even though it’s something I never EVER thought I would, I’ll always give it a trial run.

What’re your thoughts on white jeans? Should we leave it to the boys of Love Island OR are we up for giving it a go? I’m still torn on that, but totally in love with colour blocking my looks!
