I wanted to bring something new to my blog, what with all the disaster and destruction in the world, sometimes it's nice to step away from reality and read a nice piece of writing or watch a goofy video. So, that's what my new feature will entail. I've come across some pretty wonderful things this past month and I want to share these with you in the hope they make your day a little brighter too. If you're not having a bad day, then simply just enjoy these things and keep being your beautiful happy self...

First of all I wanted to share one of the best things to happen in my life for a good while, it's not the first time you've heard me speaking about it, but I'd like to bring it up again considering it is one of the things that makes me the happiest. I'm talking about my other site, The Girls Club. A site co-owned by myself and my best babe India, where we share our creativity with the rest of the Internet. A lot like this blog, we share outfits and writings about fashion related things, but it is also so much more than that, or it will be. Our future plan is to involve many other female creatives and have it as a place for us all to share our talents, highlight incredible women and write about important issues. It's a work in progress and a definite challenge, but it's one that has made me more productive as a person, and given me far more goals in life. I have the pleasure of working beside my best friends and meeting amazing people along the way, how could this not make me happy?

Next is a couple of videos I managed to stumble upon completely by accident (I was far too deep on YouTube when I should of been sleeping), and I just know you're all going to enjoy these as much as I did. If you're Stranger Things fan (duh, of course you are) then you have to give this video a watch. Here we see Joe Keery and Gaten Matarazzo taking a friendship test with Glamour Magazine. Behold 330 seconds of happiness, pureness and great friendship. This video made me smile all day, not just because I'm a sucker for anything featuring the cast of Stranger Things, but because there is something so wholesome about seeing two males embracing each other and not caring about how they might look. Forget macho and manly, this is just two males being themselves with each other, it's perfect.

My next video is for all you Sprouse fans out there, I already sent this to my friends that adore this man as much as me, so it only seemed right I share it with you too. Behold a video by Vanity Fair, where Cole Sprouse talks us through his Instagram pictures. Sounds boring, but it's actually very humurous and it was hard not to grin the whole way through. The fact he tells Instagram to free the nipple only thirty seconds in reminded me why I'm such a lover of this guy, he's forever expressing his postitve thoughts on feminism and his negitive thoughts on Donal Trump, I'm starting to think he's my spirit animal...

Another reason why I smiled this month is a bit of a strange one, but bare with me on this... I'm beginning to see a lot of braveness and empowerment on social media at the moment, which to me is my favourite topic of blog content. I've seen some bloggers disagree, stating that everyone is writing meaningful posts rather than the usual fashion related writings which is making people second guess where they fit in. It's understandable because it's such a new thing, if you've been in the game for a long time then take it back a few years and no one was talking about personal subjects like they are today. I can see that people are confused and not sure if they should join in or stick to what they know, but to me it's what I want to see in the future of blogging, realness! It's exciting to see us be so confident and open on our little corners of the internet.

On this note, I'd like to share a post by the beautiful Alice Catherine which inspired me and many others. Alice wrote about a personal health issue she struggles with, and one that a lot of other women will struggle with too. It was a beautifully real and expressive post that I know took so much confidence to write. It sounds strange that a post about someones body struggles made me smile, but it was the fact Alice spoke out to her thousands of followers about it and showed others that they are not alone. This to me is how we should use our voice, by useing it to tell people our issues and our views, so we can all be together and share the love within the community. Well done for being so brave by sharing your journey with us, Alice! This is not to say we should leave fashion behind, because I will always love seeing peoples OOTD's, but It's nice to have a bit of everything combined, don't you think?

So there you have it, four things that have put a big smile on my face this past month. I hope you enjoyed this post, it's different for me but I enjoy sharing what I love! I'm forever bombarding my nearest and dearest with links to things like this, so why not share it with you lot too?
